PLATTSBURGH FLAG – WAR OF 1812

Also known as the “Veteran Exempts Flag,” this design was carried by a New York militia during the War of 1812.

Many of the men were Revolutionary War veterans who were technically exempt from service due to age, yet volunteered to fight again.

The skull and crossbones symbolized a willingness to face death, while “Don’t Tread On Me” reinforced their resolve.

  • The dimensions of the flag are 3' x 5'
